(2005) sequenced the nLSU regions from10species ofFomitopsisand 15relat-ed species, their phylogenetic analysis indicated that Fomitopsis pinicola is one of the most conspicuous and widely distributed polypores in coniferous forest regions of the northern hemisphere.
